THE HARMON LEGACY

Education runs in our family

The original Harmon School was founded in 1952 by Mark’s grandmother, Lois Harmon—a pioneer in child-centered learning. Her school emphasized hands-on discovery, learning centers, and outdoor play long before it was popular. Over nearly 50 years, tens of thousands of students passed through its doors.

Mark grew up in that environment, raised by educators who believed that school should be joyful, supportive, and built around the whole child. Today, Harmon School continues that legacy with a modern mission and a deeply personal purpose.

Helping every student thrive—academically, emotionally, and for life.
We support students with learning differences like dyslexia and executive functioning challenges through personalized, research-backed education.

At Harmon School, we:
-
Design learning paths that meet students where they are
-
Build confidence through structure, coaching, and care
-
Partner closely with families and advocate in school systems
-
Create a warm, inclusive space for growth—not just grades
-

We believe every child deserves the chance to succeed—and the right support to get there.
